It’s important for artists to play an active role in building community - and the past years have been tough for ‘in-person” community building. Both those ideas played a big part in my starting this showcase journal. It’s been fun and I’d like to be able to expand (in a manageable way) and show more artists. While I love taking a thematic approach to my showcases - it means I can’t include a lot of folks who just don’t happen to fit that format. Which is why I’ll be featuring individual “notable” artists in this space as an experiment - let’s see how it goes!
